Chris Sedmak

Graduate Student

Chris was born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado. He completed his undergraduate studies at Hastings College in Nebraska, with a dual major in Chemistry and Music. During his undergraduate degree, he completed an NSF REU program at the University of Minnesota that confirmed his interest in Chemistry research. He is now pursuing an Applied Chemistry PhD at Colorado School of Mines. His research uses a variety of liquid state NMR techniques including pulsed field gradient diffusion NMR and electrophoretic NMR to study ion movement in battery electrolytes. In his free time, he enjoys video games, Dungeons and Dragons, and rock climbing.
