Elise Jensen

Undergraduate Student

Elise was born and raised in Longmont, Colorado. She originally attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison before transferring to the University of Colorado-Boulder in 2024. Even though she knew she wanted to pursue research in chemistry during college, this was solidified during her time being a part of the UROP Studio Lab program at CU-Boulder. She is now a research assistant in an Ecology and Evolutionary Biology lab studying insecticidal properties in acyl sugars and their molecular structures. At Mines she is working under Chris studying ion movement in battery electrolytes using liquid state NMR. In her free time, she enjoys running, playing volleyball, reading, and knitting.
