Manon Lutz
Manon is from Montauban, France, but did her undergraduate and Masters degrees in Chemistry in Bordeaux. During my Masters degree, she had the opportunity to do two internships in the U.S. (4/5 months each) in surface characterization using STEM/EDS and XPS applied to polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells and water electrolyzers. Currently, she is doing her Ph.D. at Mines in Applied Chemistry, working on solid-state batteries and NMR characterization; she is co-advised with Dr. Annalise Maughan and Dr. David Halat.
Outside of school, Manon loves travelling – she would love to visit all 50 states and 63 National Parks. She also loves cooking and baking, and has a passion for squirrels and raccoons – she finds them very cute!
