Tyler Case
Graduate StudentTyler was raised in rural West Texas and completed his undergraduate B.S. Interdisciplinary Chemistry degree at Tarleton State University. He is joining us after a 10 year sabbatical from academia during which he pursued a variety of different experiences including building a coffee shop in a school bus, living at a yoga retreat center, and hiking 900 miles of the AT among other interesting things. Armed with a decade of life experience, he is applying his knowledge to the study of dynamics in solid ion conductors primarily through the use of solid-state magnetic resonance techniques. His academic interests generally include unraveling the impact of anion dynamics on cation motion and the application of double resonance techniques to dynamic solid systems. In his free time he enjoys participating and organizing community living events, studying and practicing yoga/meditation, and doing almost anything outside.
